Whitening is the process of removal of tooth discoloration that occurs in nature. Currently there are two different known bleaching methods.
The first of these methods the patient can apply on their own, the steps are as follows:
- Dentist has an impression , then rubber plates are prepared for use on the teeth.
- The bleaching material is placed into the plate and the patient uses it about 6-8 hours a day.
- The treatment ends approximately in 1-4 weeks
The second whitening method is done by a dentist in clinic and applied as follows:
- The bleaching material is placed on the teeth by the dentist.
- Light source onto the corresponding tooth is kept for a certain time.
- The immediate results observed when procedure finished.
Both methods are effective but choice is depends on the degree of coloring , how quickly treatment is desired to be finished and the opinion of the physician.
